Ramjet Certified Memory for Mac
Time and time again, Apple Computers have proven too demanding for generic PC memory modules. Apple users have been forced to either pay Apple’s high prices for upgrades, or buy 3rd party modules and be subjected to system crashes, boot failures, and sub-par performance. Worse still, most 3rd party vendors had no idea that Apple machines demanded a higher standard.
At Ramjet, we start with modules built 100% to Apple's original specifications, but we don't stop there.
In our compatibility center, we have a comprehensive array of Apples, every platform built since 1996. Other memory companies try to test for Apple compatibility using generic RAM module testers, whereas we test our RAM in the same Mac you're upgrading.
Our technicians perform tests for fitment, temperature buildup, battery consumption and endurance. After passing these stringent examinations, our modules are subjected to a battery of commercial and proprietary software tests to ensure maximum performance and stability. If the memory isn’t good enough to pass these test, it isn’t Ramjet Certified.
SPD Programming
The SPD programming on a module is what determines the timing of various tasks (read data/write data/refresh cells/etc.) during the memory clock cycle. Apple memory is frequently different from the industry standard for these timings, and this is why standard pc memory will often work in a Mac but run slowly. An incorrectly set SPD can rob you of up to 50% of system performance. Ramjet modules will never have SPD compatibility problems.
Firmware Compatibility
Installing some firmware updates on your Mac can cause some memory modules to cease functioning. These lower grade modules may work under some versions of the firmware, but not with newer more stringent versions. You will not have this problem with our memory. Ramjet matches the Apple memory specification perfectly and has identical SPD speed timings. No firmware upgrade will ever conflict with our RAM, and we warranty our memory as such.
